Our First Active school day in St. Dymphna’s was an enormous success and the pupils from St Joseph’s Special school and St Anthony’s School were invited along to take part . Bike races, obstacle courses, singing and dancing as well as rugby and football training were just some of the activities on offer. The sun was shining and the ice cream van was a big hit with staff and pupils at the end of the day.
Thanks to former Mayo player David Clarke who put the students through their paces and who faced more than a few penalty takers!
Thanks to Denise Murphy, Connaught Development Officer and Coach Developer of Triathlon Ireland and Simon Walsh, Cycling Ireland, Cycle Right Instructor . We appreciate the support of our local Garda Michael and Pat O Brien who has been a wonderful supporter of the school for many years .
