Mc Dermott Street, (Convent Hill), St. Dymphna’s School, Ballina, Co Mayo
St. Dymphna’s School students had the opportunity to take part in an exciting art project this term. The project involved young people from the North Mayo area including Involve Youth Service, Down Syndrome Mayo, Little Blue Heroes, students from St Marys, Cairde at NYP and An Garda Siochana.
All the pupils had the opportunity to participate
The pupils enjoyed working together to produce their own designs.
The students created a series of art works using mixed media, abstract art and hand drawings.
The art was projected every evening onto the old mineral water building across from the Jackie Clarke Collection.
St Dymphnas School would like to thank Alice Dixon the Visual Artist, Michelle Gallagher Project Manager, Cillian Foody Social Media Manager and Garda Michael Kelly for all their hard work.
A special thanks also to our Class 1 teacher Miss Comer for organising the project in school
The pupils got the opportunity over the last few weeks to take part in an amazing Art Project. Miss Comer, the Class 1 teacher arranged for an artist to come into school to work with the pupils. This work will be displayed in Ballina.
