Class 3 Lights Up Ballina
Class 3 from St Dymphna’s School recently teamed up with students from St Muredach’s College, Ballina, to take part in the Light Up Ballina celebrations and it is fair to say it was a great success.
From the moment we arrived, there was plenty of excitement. The students from St Dymphna’s really enjoyed interacting with the students from St Muredach’s. There was lots of chatting, smiling and laughter, with conversations ranging from favourite foods to who had the warmest coat on the day.
The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. It was lovely to see friendships forming so naturally, with students supporting one another and sharing the experience together. The laughter travelled faster than the Christmas lights being switched on, and at times it was hard to tell who was enjoying it more, the students or the adults.
Seeing familiar faces from St Muredach’s at Light Up Ballina made the event even more special for our students. There was a real sense of belonging and community, and it meant a lot to our class to be part of such a positive local event.
A big thank you to St Muredach’s College for joining us and making the day so enjoyable. We are already looking forward to seeing everyone again at future events in Ballina.
