Class One’s Musical Mayhem!
We had a whirlwind of musical magic in Class One, thanks to Mary, the Director and French hornist of the Whistle Blast Quartet. She arrived with a big smile, a shiny French horn, and a suitcase full of surprises (okay, maybe not a suitcase, but it felt like one with all the cool sounds she brought).
Mary gave the class a music lesson that was anything but ordinary. She showed us how instruments can be played in unexpected ways — who knew a French horn could sound like an elephant or that clapping hands could be part of an orchestra? We were amazed, confused, and possibly a little too enthusiastic with the tambourines.
The best part? We didn’t just listen to music — we created music! By the end of the session, we had transformed into a full-blown storm. The drums rumbled like thunder, the shakers became pouring rain, and someone’s high-pitched squeal (you know who you are) was the perfect lightning strike. It was chaos. It was art. It was…very loud.
